Highlights of the Festival of Hope (Gwyl Gobaith) were broadcast on Welsh TV channel S4C in Sunday September 2nd at 9pm, including Hayley singing Pokarekare Ana (video below). We will add some further videos to our news report on this concert which can be found here.

From the Festival website:

"In keeping with Gwyl Gobaith Festival tradition, money raised from the Monday evening concert will go to support Welsh charity HeadtoHeart (www.headtoheart.co.uk). Tickets for the concert will go on sale 10am on Friday 6th April through Ticketmaster.

The Festival will open on Friday night 24th August with a headline performance from New Zealand soprano, Hayley Westenra.

Hayley, who made her debut performance in North Wales at the tender age of 16 when she performed at the Faenol Festival in 2003, expressed her delight to be performing:

“I am thrilled to be returning to North Wales this summer and performing at Gŵyl Gobaith – it’s always such a pleasure to perform in Wales, the audiences are always so welcoming and it truly is such a beautiful part of the world”.
